Hindustani Vocal Music The SIMA Vocal curriculum takes you through a series of well-defined milestones, helping you to go from total novice to accomplished musician in a few years. The students are given repertoire in composition, raga, and techniques of performance, culminating in performances that prove their mettle as concert musicians. Tabla for Kids The Tabla for Kids curriculum is designed to allow very young children to become familiar with the basics of Hindustani rhythm quickly and thoroughly. This is done while retaining the interest and focus of the student on the subject. As the child grows and becomes more adept at the art, he/she is able to migrate over to the regular Tabla curriculum of the school. Sarod Classes SIMA’s Sarod curriculum introduces the student to one of the most beautiful and rarely heard of the classical lutes of India. Students are guided step-by-step in the tradition of the rare Seni-Shahjahanpur Gharana, from instrument selection and maintenance to repertoire, playing style, performance technique and more.
