Tabla Classes |

The SIMA tabla curriculum is intended to give each student a cohesive understanding of the instrument within a short amount of time. Within months, students learn all the material they need to perform a short tabla solo or play tabla with other musicians. As students progress through the various levels of education, their knowledge and confidence increase with the help of lecture-demonstrations by and interaction with SIMA faculty and associates, all highly skilled musicians who provide students with opportunities to practice their skills in a friendly and constructive environment. |

Vocal Classes |
|
Driven by the philosophy that anyone can learn to sing, SIMA’s vocal music program offers students an opportunity to study the vocal music of North India under the care and supervision of experienced and well-respected musicians. Small class sizes, an innovative curriculum and motivated peers, along with occasional access to some of the world’s best musicians in the subject, make the SIMA vocal program a unique educational and artistic experience. Students go through a series of levels of training, each progressively more difficult until they master basic musicianship, and elementary music theory. |
