Vocal Recital by Mahesh Kale

Mahesh Kale is a rising vocalist of the new generation. His discipleship under  Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki are borne out by his thrilling performances. His training under this doyen of music has not only made him a brilliant Hindustani classical singer, but has also made him equally proficient in thumri, tappa, bhajans, bhaavgeet, and natyasangeet. Presently Mahesh continues to receive guidance from Shri Shounak Abhisheki.

 

Mahesh has performed in prestigious concerts all over India and USA as well as in UAE and UK. He has given lecture demonstrations in various US universities (including Stanford and Harvard University). More recently, Mahesh has been playing the central character in a popular Sangeet Natak (musical), Katyar Kaljat Ghusli, that was revived earlier in 2010. He has been honored with an award by the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad for his role in this play.

Mahesh is also a teacher and inspiration for a motivated student body of over a 100 students in the San Francisco Bay Area.
